CC The replicative RF I form in the cell is double-stranded and circular,
CC and acts like a plasmid.
CC The phage form outside the cell is linear and single-stranded.
CC In vitro DNA synthesis on a cis-DDP-treated template generates a
CC population of DNA fragments, indicating that duplex synthesis has
CC terminated. Cis-DDP forms an adduct with DNA, at positions where
CC multiple 'g' nucleotides occur, that inhibits synthesis in vitro.
CC Trans DDP has the same effect, only on 'gng' sequences, where n can
CC be any intervening nucleotide.
